CLASS POLICIES
By registering for any Blue Buddha Boutique class, you agree to the terms below.
Registration
Pre-register for any Blue Buddha Boutique classes by calling 773.478.3767.
Pre-registration and payment in full is required for all classes. A minimum payment of 1 hour per student is required for private lessons. Make sure to register early as some classes fill up quickly! All class fees are due at the time of registration. Some classes include material fees, but if they do not (as is often the case with guest instructors), the material fee will be due on the day of class.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your registration, you must notify us 48 hours before your class in order to receive a full refund. If you cancel on or after that time, your payment will be forfeited. There are no exceptions to this, unless we can fill your spot from someone on our waiting list.
In the event a class is canceled due to lack of enrollment, you will be notified and will be given the option of a full refund or saving your payment as a credit to be used toward a future class at Blue Buddha Boutique.
Arrival Time
All classes begin promptly at the posted start time. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early. The ensures that all students will be ready to begin at the start of class. Late arrivals are extremely disruptive to classes. Please note that if you arrive 15 minutes late or more, you may be barred from attending class and will forfeit your registration fee.
Materials Provided
We supply everything you need to complete the projects, and we have tools and task lights available to use at no charge during class. Unless you have an arrangement with the instructor, we prefer that you do not bring your own jump rings with you as this can cause confusion
Respect for Students and Teachers
Blue Buddha Boutique desires to foster a positive environment in our classes and we do not tolerate rude, bad behavior, swearing or foul language, violent, physical or verbal abuse. If you are removed from class for any of these behaviors, you will not receive any refunds nor be allowed back into class.
Blue Buddha instructors strive to provide the highest-quality chainmaille instruction possible. We appreciate that you've chosen to spend your money on our classes, and we promise to be patient, cheerful, and attentive to your needs. If you ever feel as though an instructor has not met your expectations, please call or email us and let us know—we can't make changes unless we know about the issue!
Scent-Free Environment
Some people are sensitive to smells such as perfume, cleaning solutions and even scented lotions. (Rebeca is one of these folks, and some smells—while pleasant—can induce awful coughing and sneezing fits). Please be considerate and refrain from wearing perfume/cologne during class.
Class Day Discounts
On class days, students will receive a special discount: 15% off all base metal jump rings and findings, and 10% off all precious (niobium and sterling) rings and findings. This discount is good on the day of class only.
We are NOT set up like a retail store; instead we are a warehouse organized to efficiently ship online orders. This means that we may not have all items in our entire inventory ready for sale on the day of class. We strongly encourage you to email us your order at least 2 days prior to class, so we can prepare all the necessary items. If you'd like to see certain items in person before committing to purchasing, that's OK—simply include a list of these items and we'll pull them from the shelves for you. Plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to class to look at the products.
If you add items to your order during class, we may or may not be able to prepare them by the end of class, and we may need to ship the items to you. (You'd still recieve your class-day discount, however you'd have to pay for shipping.) We try to schedule inventory assistants to work in the studio during classes so they can help prepare orders, however it is not always possible. The instructor can stay for a few minutes after class to handle small orders, but unfortunately they are unable to assemble kits and bag rings for large orders. Please keep the above in mind if you plan to purchase items on a class day.
