Premium Anodized Aluminum Scales
These components make spectacular additions to your chainmaille pieces. Combine with L16 AA to make shaggy scales earrings, bracelets and necklaces. See our free Shaggy Scales Tutorial for instructions. These scales are anodized in the USA using a process that allows for full-color coverage, meaning even the edges are colored. The scales measure 7/8" x 9/16" x 0.025" (22.2 mm x 14.3 mm x 0.6mm). We will eventually post photos of the various colors, but for now you can refer to the Anodized Aluminum page to get a good idea of what the colors look like. Occasionally we get an off-color batch from our anodizer, so we might have colors like "light teal" or "dark gold" (or any other color that you do not see listed on the Anodized Aluminum page). Once we finish that batch, we might never have them again. Therefore, if you order scales, please order enough to finish your project all at once, as we cannot guarantee that we can match a color from a previous order.

Niobium Earwires
These earwires are made of hypo-allergenic niobium. The swatches at left show the full color spectrum available. We like these earwires, because the holes are larger than what is sometimes sold in niobium. (Larger holes = more versatile and easier to work with.) Wire size is 20g AWG (0.8mm, 0.032"). Sold by the pair, 5 pair or 15 pair.
Important! There are color variations from earring to earring. We will try to send you earwires that are as close as possible in color, but if you order a 10 pack, you might have 4 earwires that are slightly darker, and 6 that are lighter. (We will, however, avoid sending a single earwire that doesn't match any others!)
The multi-mix earwire pack (available only in bulk) will have pairs of different colored earwires. Each multi-mix will be different, but you are guaranteed to receive at least 6 different colors in your batch (most will have 12+ color pairs)

Niobium Koru Fern Toggle
This handmade toggle coordinates with our anodized niobium jump rings. Shown in the photo is the #60 rose color. Because the toggles are individually made and anodized by hand, expect variations in color, size and finish. The toggle is approximately 12 mm across and 22 mm long. The bars is about 27 mm. Enameled Copper Toggle - Large
This dramatic toggle measures 26 mm across, with a 24 mm bar. Like the small toggles above, these are handmade, so no two will be exactly alike, and you should expect slight variations in color and finish. The holes in the bar and toggle can easily accomodate up to a 16 SWG ring (0.062" / 1.6 mm). Note, however, that because the hole on the bar is near the center of the component, you'll need a ring with an inner diameter of at least size I (13/64" / 5.2 mm) in order to easily close it around the bar and still have enough room to link it to another jump ring.

This handmade hook coordinates with our anodized niobium jump rings. Shown in the photo are the mermaid blend (l) and spring green blend (r). Because the hooks are individually made and anodized by hand, expect variations in color, size and finish. The hook is approximately 22 mm long and 15 mm across. The connection loop can easily accomodate up to a 14 AWG ring (0.064" / 1.63 mm). Note that the connection loop is far to the inside of the component, which means you'll need a ring with a large enough inner diameter to reach the hole. We recommend using size N16 (9/32" / 7.1 mm inner diameter), but you might be able to use I14 (13/64" / 5.2 mm inner diameter) on some of the hooks. Remember to leave an extra hanging ring at the opposite end of your piece for the hook to attach to.

Base Metal Pendant Bail
The sturdy bail is perfect to finish your pendants. Available in Copper, Gold, Gunmetal and Nickel finish. Small bail measures 9 mm long; hole accomodates up to two 18g SWG rings (1.2 mm, 0.48 "). Large bail is 17mm long; hole accomodates up to two 16g SWG rings (1.6 mm, 0.62 ").

Sterling Silver Pendant Bails
Three different bails to use with your maille designs. The Filagree has the smallest openings; the Twist is slightly bigger, and the Smooth bail is the largest. The hole is soldered closed for the Smooth bail. For the Filagree and Twist bails, you can use your pliers on the "jump ring" hole on the bottom to adjust it larger or smaller as necessary.

Czech Glass Rings
Pressed glass beads in a variety of colors. Ring measures 9.5 mm across, with a 3.5 mm hole. These are easily combined with jump rings to give your chainmaille a new look. (However, be gentle with them, as they are glass and can shatter if you drop them!) Size and shape may vary slightly and color may vary from dye lot to dye lot. Sold in packs of 4 dozen (48 pc).
Please expect size variations from ring to ring (and from color to color). These size variations are minimal, except with the hematite rings which can vary greatly. The size differences do not affect the Glass Caterpillar weave.

Premium Colors—Black, Blue Iris, Bronze, Emerald, Hematite and Tortoise—are more difficult to make, and therefore cost slightly more. You'll find the Multi Mix in the premium section, because we quality control and create that mix by hand. All other colors are considered standard. Out of stock colors will not appear in the drop-down menus below.

Hammered Ring (Small)
Lead-free pewter ring in three finishes: bright rhodium, copper, gold and gunmetal. An elegant way to spice up your chainmaille pieces. These rings are permanently closed, so you cannot open and close them as you would a normal jump ring. But you can use jump rings to link them together, using them as "closed" rings for certain weaves. The inner diameter is close to our K size (15/64" / 6.0 mm). The "gauge" is about 16 SWG (1.6 mm).

Stainless Steel Closed Rings
Pre-closed L16 stainless steel rings, because let's face it: these are tough little buggers to close! These are good for using at the end of a piece, for a lobster claw or handmade hook to clasp onto. Or, use them as pre-closed rings in a weave. 16g SWG = 1.626 mm / 0.064".
