Description
Create a surprisingly lightweight statement necklace out of colorful aluminum "scales" and jump rings. Once you understand the pattern, you can easily (and quickly!) make bracelets and earrings. You'll learn how to adjust the orientation of the scales to create different textures. Choose from one of 5 "elemental" color schemes (fire (flame), water, earth, ether or sky). Don't let the size of this project fool you; it is a perfect piece for a beginning chainmaille student! You will complete this project in class.
Prerequisites: Strong desire to impress friends;--haha. ;-) This class is geared toward absolute beginners so there is no pre-requisite.
Basic Skills Needed: Previous jewelry making helpful (but not required)
Included Kit ($100 Value): 250 jump rings in 6 sizes and 3 colors; 250 full-color scales in 3 colors; 18" of pre-made chain, lobster claw, full-color instructions
