Description: A very advanced weave, Dragonscale (sometimes called Mermaid Mesh) uses two precise sizes of rings: the smaller rings fit exactly inside the larger ones. Layering these rings creates a look similar to animal scales. Dragonscale is flexible and particularly pleasing to the touch.  This can be a difficult weave to get started, and using colorful rings in combination with uncolored rings is a great help. Plus, the resulting bracelet will have a cool, iridescent sheen! Students can choose from multiple color options. Students who register by Jan 1 have the option to receive their kits via mail to complete at-home prep and ensure greater progress during class. Class includes a one-hour break for lunch.

Pre-requisite: Knowledge of at least 4 chainmaille weaves.

Tools needed: two flat nose pliers, bead mat or other soft work surface, task lamp

The kit includes full color step by step instructions, tube clasp, anodized aluminum rings, and enough jump rings in aluminum, copper or jewelry brass to complete an 8” bracelet.
