The Blue Buddha Boutique Company

Founded in 2003 by self-taught artist Rebeca Mojica, our company is one of the largest chainmaille suppliers in the world. Originally operated out of Rebeca's spare bedroom as a one-woman business, Blue Buddha now serves customers in all 50 states and 40 countries. Our company fosters relationships with both local and international customers through rigorous online community development and opportunities for professional and creative growth such as our By Artists for Artists design program.

We made history in 2007 by moving to a storefront location and offering classes in the first chainmaille-only brick-and-mortar store in the world. At the end of 2012, we'll expand our local presence by opening a new retail store and studio in Chicago. The new store will sell all the top-quality supplies Blue Buddha is known for as well as finished jewelry and other local crafts. Blue Buddha Boutique's new space will host open studios, classes for every level of mailler, guest workshops and other special events.
