Chainmaille Bag

Advanced Level

Blue Buddha is proud to welcome guest teacher Joshua Diliberto for this exciting learning opportunity!

EUROPEAN WEAVE FAMILY

This class will demonstrate variations on the classical European 4-in-1 weave including contractions and expansions. Teaching students how to make a chainmaille bag is just the surface of this class. Deeper understanding and creativity will be explored. The “flat expanding round” pattern that will be taught is an essential design technique used in making projects such as, coifs, cozies, bikini tops, shirts, and many other projects.

This class caters to beginners and advanced chainmaillers alike. Please bring pliers for bending 16swg aluminum rings. A few pairs of spare pliers will be provided for anyone who forgets to bring pliers. All materials will be provided to make a complete bag. Extra supplies will be sold after the class for anyone interested in making other projects.

4 Hours + 1 hour lunch break

PRE-REQUISITES: At least 2 chainmaille classes or knowledge of 2 weaves, one of which must be European 4 in 1.
