The newest issue of Wirework Magazine hits newsstands this week and we are thrilled to announce that it contains not one, but TWO great chainmaille projects by B3 Ambassadors! Pick up your issue and try your hand at Kat Wisniewski’s Celtic Diamond Pendant or Vanessa Walilko’s Art Deco Necklace (…or why choose?  Make both!)  We will not be selling kits for these projects as of yet but we will of course be selling everything you need to complete them including 20mm Crystal Rings and Crystal Triangles.  Check out our magazine projects page for your shopping list for these projects and more (we’re working on doing some major catching-up/updating to this page in the coming weeks so check back often for even more project supply lists.)

Celtic Diamond Pendant

Customize this project a million different ways with our top-quality jump rings and shiny glass rings. Note: the sizes in the magazine are incorrect! We’ve tested this piece heavily in our ring sizes listed on on the magazine supply page, and it works perfectly.

Art Deco Necklace

We’re selling these dazzling large crystal rings and crystal triangles, especially for this beautiful project.  Make it impossibly light with our bright aluminum rings, or pair these glittering crystals with our impeccable sterling silver rings for a real show-stopper.

We are proud to announce that Rebeca’s Coiled Crystals project is in the most recent issue of the German magazine Perlen Poesie (pg66). As some of you may know, Rebeca fell in love with Germany years ago, returned a few years later to backpack around Europe, eventually wound up living in Germany for a year, and made a return visit in 2010. (And yes, she does speak German!)  It’s very exciting that her project is appearing in an international magazine but even more special that it’s a German magazine.  We won’t be selling the magazine but if you are interested in a copy (or know anyone in Germany who would be) you can purchase it here.

FYI – Perlen Poesie puts out a beautiful publication – closer to a book than a magazine in quality.

For those of us here in the US, Rebeca will be teaching her Coiled Crystals project at the Bead&Button Show – learn more by visiting the 2011 Bead&Button classes page on our website.

I am honored and beyond thrilled to have my Snowflakes project featured on the cover of the December/January 2011 issue of Step by Step Wire Jewelry Magazine.  It’s my first solo magazine cover! (I literally jumped up and down when I saw it!) The issue just hit newsstands, and yes, even though we don’t typically carry magazines, we do have a stash of issues available

for our customers.

Earlier this year, my Crystal Ring Byzantine bracelet was featured on the cover of Wirework 2010. Having two covers in a single year … well, let’s just say that I am incredibly proud and happy with what I’ve accomplished. And of course, I thank all of you guys for continuing to inspire me to create and develop new designs. :-)

We’ll have kits available for the Snowflakes projects soon, so stay tuned!

My “It’ll Always Be Sears to Me” Sculpture was featured in the September 2010 issue of Art Jewelry Magazine. Very exciting!

This morning I appeared on CBS’ Monsters & Money in the Morning as an example of a small business thriving in these economic times. The producer saw the article in yesterday’s Chicago Tribune and wanted to find out more.

Here’s a few screenshots:

Me, wearing the Dodecahedron Choker.

Mike North contemplating my sculpture titled, “It’ll always be Sears to Me!”

The entire roundtable

Two necklaces. Note the clock in the background–yep, that would be 5:17 a.m. I woke up at the early hour of 3:00 this morning in order to appear on the show. Whew!

On an interesting sidenote, the makeup artist fell in love with my necklace. She told me that she knows someone who recently took a chainmaille class in Chicago and has been making pieces like mad! I would bet 10,000 H18 anodized aluminum rings that the class was with Kat or Vanessa. Small world!
