Learn a classic chainmaille weave used in medieval armor, European 4-in-1 (aka Mesh) and use it to create a variety of modern jewelry pieces. A perfect project for beginners, the base metal kit includes two toggle clasps and enough rings in a single metal to make several bracelets, or a necklace, or a very wide cuff. (Beginners, note that stainless steel is tough to work with and generally is not the best metal to learn with!) The instructions also show you how to make Rosettes, an easy variation of the mesh weave. Due to the price of silver, sterling kits are sold separately for each project.
Once you've conquered this weave, you might want to give the Mesh Ring (European 6-in-1) a try; sale PDF instructions are now available for this weave!
Example shown right uses copper rings for the Mesh bracelet (top) and Jewelry Brass for the Rosettes (bottom).
