Get your chainmaille jewerly supplies in time!

B3 will be closed DECEMBER 23 through JANUARY 4

for the holidays and for end of year inventory.

During this time, we will continue to process and ship all orders placed by 5pm CT  Dec 22 but please be aware that there will be a bit of a delay due to half the studio being off on any given day.  No order new orders will processed until we reopen on Jan 5 – this includes express orders.  We also will not be answering the phones during this time.

Holiday supply orders are pouring in; we’re prepping for and participating in some of our favorite local holiday shows...

Yep, the holiday season is in full swing.

As such, we have changed our order processing time for regular orders to 4-7 days.  As always, we strive to beat the times we post and often do, but we know projects being made this time of year are often time-sensitive and we want you to be able to place your order with plenty of time to create those holiday gifts.

CUTOFF TO RECEIVE YOUR ORDER BY 12/23 = 5pm CT Dec 15

We also understand that when your order leaves our studio, it is just the beginning of its journey.  Many customers choose Express Shipping & Handling for their order at this time of year to make sure they get it in time.  While all reasonably-sized express orders we receive are processed and shipped within 24 hours, not all orders arrive to their final destination overnight.

USPS lists Express Shipping as “Guaranteed overnight delivery to most U.S. addresses” and most customers do receive their express order from USPS overnight with no problems at all.  However, for some folks who live far away from an airport or in rural areas, it takes a bit longer.  To calculate how long it will take for you to receive an order using Express shipping, use the USPS EXPRESS SHIPPING CALCULATOR.

As a courtesy to our customers, we would also like to offer overnight shipping through UPS at this time of year.  If you are interested in shipping your order via UPS, please contact us by sending an email to [email protected] as soon as you have placed your order.  Please give your name and your order number in the email and we will get back to you as soon as we can with a quote.

Featured Product of the Month Contest – December

FEATURED PRODUCT FOR DECEMBER – Size H18

By popular demand, December’s featured product is our size H18 jump rings.  Why do people love this size so much?  It is INCREDIBLY versatile and is a great “Goldylocks Size” (Not too big, not too small. *wink*)  We just KNOW this is going to be a huge month – show us what you got!

This ring size has two blog posts full of inspiration – one for base metal rings and one for precious metal.  Your project can be made from one or the other or even combine them!

Here’s how the contest works:

Make a project which primarily uses our featured product**. The project can most definitely use other rings and components, but the featured product should really be the star of the piece. The project does not necessarily have to be brand new to be submitted – if you have some amazing piece you made last year hanging around that uses the featured product of the month, share it!

Take a picture of your project and post it to our page on Facebook. Give your piece a title and Make sure to write something like This is my submission for the Featured Product Contest!” in the little box that says “Say something about this photo…” when you upload it to our wall. Please note: upload your photos from your computer directly to be sure they will show up on our wall. We’ve experienced some technical difficulities with folks uploading from other devices so it’s just safer that way!

Submissions will be accepting between the 1st and 15th of every month so make sure to get your project posted in time! Please limit your submissions to 2 per person.

Get Votes! Submissions will close on the 15th of each month at which point the B3 Staff will choose our favorites. The top entries will be eligible for voting through a survey which we will post to our blog as well as our wall on Facebook. If you are one of the finalists, feel free to share the link with friends via email, Facebook, Twitter or any other means.

Voting will close on the last day of the month.

That’s all it takes! We will award the top voted finalist each month with a $25 B3 Gift Certificate and will feature YOUR project in a special blog post and possibly even future B3 ads** to inspire fellow chainmaillers all over the world.

**Please also note that while the project is not required to be made from Blue Buddha Boutique rings, any winning projects that use primarily rings from another supplier or rings made by the artist will not be eligible for posting on our blog or use in our ads. We do this to prevent false advertising. We do not want to create the image that we sell a product that we in fact do not. Thank you for your understanding.

CHAINED book variation kits now available!

In addition to selling kits for every project in the book, we now have CHAINED variation kits!  By popular demand, we now have kits for…

Ripple Necklace in Aluminum

Until now we have only offered this popular project in sterling silver as shown in the book.  This more affordable version offers the same great shine in a very lightweight, easy to wear material.

Helm Wave in Aluminum, Jewelry Brass & Copper

The Helm Wave project is one of the most popular in the book, however the combination of stainless steel and bronze limited the number of maillers able to complete the kit.  We now offer this project in 3 different combinations using aluminum, jewelry brass and copper – three metals great for every level!

Helm Wave in Sterling Silver & Gold-Filled

We also now have the Helm Wave project in precious metal.  A beautiful combination of sterling silver and gold-filled jump rings makes this bracelet a real stunner.

We will continue to roll out CHAINED variation kits throughout 2012.  You can help determine which kits we create by letting us know your favorite variations from the book by filling out the form on our website.  If we hear many requests for the same variation, we’ll know to prioritize that kit!
